just got in time to see Mac tonight.
he got left again about 4 or 5 lengths (he never did that in his early races) but his pace up was impressive, although I suppose he had a clear run being so far behind but he took off and was in 2nd position around the 2nd bend and run really well thereafter but the 1 had flown. I can't see him getting a downgrade now but he should, he deserves one, he hasn't won for 5 months for godsake, how much longer??
Happy birthday Derek.

Colin Thanks for the good wishes. Mac has a lot of pace to the first bend Colin but he has only trapped well in a handful of races and of course when he does he clocks a good time, which the grader makes him pay for. If he gets a downgrade that is what will happen he will win at a short price because everybody is waiting for it, but he will be back up in grade again where we will have to wait again for him to lead to win.
Mac needs a move Colin to somewhere with a longer run up to take advantage of his early pace and if it were at a lesser grade track in a lower grade he would get a longer distance okay but this lower grade of track and race would give him the chance to come from behind when as he often does------ trap slowly.
