Well will he wont he lead up and if he does will he win? Jimmy although upgraded is in what looks the weakest of the two A5 contests has the normally higher graded dog Toosey Lyn (usual grade A4) in the race and Garry’s other dog Droopys Federer(who equals the races fastest spit with Jimmy) inside of our hero. On top of this the race is probably made up to give the Six dog a clear run to give it chance to do them all on the way home So it’s a bit more of a lottery than usual with Jimmy being the highest priced runner in the race by the R.P. However we all know that with best paws forward Jimmy has the acceleration to be first to the bend and I don’t think any of us have any doubts that he can do the time needed to be first to the winning post in an A5. Roll on 3.58 pm

Watched Jimmys race, he led up and held on bravely from the 2 dog who challenged him all the way from the 3rd bend. He seemed to stay on that little bit better today

Don’t you just love him? I am sure I would still get just as excited if I didn’t have a bet on him. He seems to be just finding that bit more just when needed doesn’t he? Like he needed to do a faster split than last time to lead up so he produced one and he kept on finding that bit more to hold off the challenges, but he must be saving something somewhere because although we are all sure he is a lot better dog than he was, his best split and best winning times don’t show it…yet. But, I am sure they will do now, when he needs them to.So, what does everybody else think have we got a clever dog here? For me clever or not, I love him.

Jimmy is doing much better now. Didn't manage to see it (and stupidly didn't have a penny on) but it sounds like he really got his head down. Great effort Jimmy.

Jimmy up against it this time---- or is he?At first this grading looked unfair. Up a grade after a narrow win in 29.41 (-10) A dog on his inside that has broken 29.00 Another on his outside with a winning time of 29.03 on its CV. I also thought that not many dogs will be given a chance to take away a hat trick of first prizes from graded races at Walthamstow especially one who not too long ago had some of its owners (including me) wanting him to swap tracks, distance, or both, because he wasn’t winning in around A8. But in spite of all that providing he leads up and he is very capable of doing so, I think he can win because I still think that Jimmy has been saving a bit, I also think that the grader thinks it as well and this race is to tell him just how much he is saving, because in order to try and win in this A4 on Monday Jimmy might just have to spend it all. But somehow I don’t think so.
Watch him live Direct by satellite from Walthamstow JIMMYS IN FOUR. Monday 28th August. 5.33PM (At a betting shop near you)[/center][/b]

Dear Jimmy
Hope you are feeling okay. Well we knew what would happen if you didn’t lead but whether you could have done the time needed to win it or not, if you had led up (it needed a sub 29.00) I will have to leave to you for now as the best we could have realistically hoped for in that time was a gallant second and seconds no matter how gallant they are aren’t much good to anyone, except the grader. So as Dave said on this occasion Jimmy “better last than second”. The grader and us will just have to wait wont we? At least we should get a downgrade out of it (maybe not though) but providing you are feeling sound this morning, which is the main thing, there will be other days.

Jimmy versus the X-Factor. So might I gazza, unless I want to watch it on a portable, because at the moment I am losing the battle with the x-factor (believe it or not) on who watches what on our main TV at 7.57pm on Saturday. Incidentally a very good judge (who is a syndicate member) has told me that he thinks Jimmy can lead up on Saturday, well, if he does, I think he will find what he needs to win it. Best of luck with your own dogs at Poole on Saturday Garry

Me too Gary, is all I can say on your comments on the X-Factor except it’s just something to do with give and take.
It would be good if Jimmy and Joe could win on the same night though but I will have to wait till the trainer gives the thumbs up on them before I back them both.
However I am looking forward to watching them, whether I have a bet or not and no matter where I watch them.
Here’s hoping they both run well but more importantly that they both come off okay.
