If that's how she runs when she isn't fit, watch out Crayford when she is!
Good section and overall time. She may suffer a boot up the grades though.
How could the bookies make her such a nice price with her sectional advantage? I don't care (lumped on), just wondered.
That's the first race I have watched since April (thank you Ladbrokes for the webcast), and I enjoyed it.
I hope that sudden braking manoevre, when the hare stopped short because of the injured dog, hasn't done her any damage.

Jesussssssssssssssssssssssssss
I know the track was fast tonight but bloody hell 23-52,thats more than anyone expected and hopefully she'll go on from this.
Never tried the webcast tonight as it was still on monday but really pleased you got a chance to see her run Keith as its so much harder for you than the rest of us.
Carly arrived at Jims tonight and will be having words regarding Mac not running as its a bloody joke hes not out on monday.

Just got back from an enjoyable night at Nottingham to find Peggy has scooted home in a really nice time and at very generous odds. Didn't see the race of course but that pace she showed up north is going to make her very competitive round Crayford.
Thanks to Julie and kennel staff for bringing her on so carefully.

Just watched Peggy,s race, she broke well but did not have a long enough lead to hold off the strong challenge of the four dog, she also races wide which must cost her many lengths during the race

I agree Clive, watched the race must admit the 4 was the dog I would have picked out if Peggy hadnt been in it.

Anybody got any observations on Peggy apparently not getting the trip at Crayford?

She didnt get home in that race for sure, but she must have lost 2 lengths going so wide at the 3rd bend, certainly got the early.

Reference Peggy's latest run which I unfortunately didn't see but listened to the commentary, could anybody who watched it tell what they think (if anything )was wrong with her performance and also has anybody any thoughts at all on why she isn't seemingly running as well at Crayford as she was at Sunderland.

I didnt see the race either, what happened? Trainers seemed very confident. Appears not to be enjoying it.

In all fairness Peggys race was won in a calculated 23-67 which is flying for an A5,the 1st 3 home were all dropped from A4 as well which i can't understand.
I'm going to ask Julie to trial her somewere over 2 bends, perhaps at Romford as she never misses the break and it might be what she needs, however Crayford is a nightmare at times with going bias's and really what Peggy needs is a race full of early paced types as she'll lead them and they'll be beat straight away.

How fast is Peggy?
As no doubt like most of you I have been watching the greyhound racing from Sittingbourne and whether or not it matches up to 854 is something I will leave for now. During the Sunday night coverage I have been chatting on line with another syndicate member and we agree that Eurosport have provided a really enjoyable evening and if any of you have not yet watched it please do so as it is very much an experiment that could become a regular if it is successful.
I have obviously put this in Peggy’s column for a reason and it is to see if it would be popular enough with the clubs members to ask Julie about the possibility and probability of entering Peggy in one of the 265 metre open races held there before the trial ends which I think is in 7 weeks time.
Whether or not Peggy could win such a race I honesty don’t know but I tend to think she would run very well and Dave’s comment of September 21st in this column gives encouragement that she wouldn’t be outclassed. However if she was unlucky enough to fall into the same race as 5 greyhounds faster than her she couldn’t get beat too far over such a short distance.
It would be great for the club members to watch and with it being on TV on Sunday at 6.00pm and no X-Factor I think anybody who wanted to watch it could do so.
I am sure we would all like to know just how good Peggy would be over a distance shorter than she is currently running and although I obviously cant be sure I think the Sittingbourne track with its sweeping bends might suit her.
I think Peggy would prove the best of the clubs runners over this distance, as her pace for the first 300 metres, as my chat line buddy puts it, “is explosive”
Toosey Bob won the last open race run over the distance on Sunday the 8th of September he runs in opens all the time and has had races at Romford that can be compared with Macs for those who would like to have some more information so as to form an opinion.
What do you think?
