A very speedy, genuine bitch.
Dave’s text message relaying trainer Julie’s comments that Peggy was very well in her self was enough to convince me that she would win. Although the highest grade 380 on the card was an A2, Peggy’s 3.43 was the fastest sectional of the meeting. Her time of 23.98 would have put her quite comfortably into second place in the A2 race that was won by the co. fav. by 6 1/2 lengths in 23.70. Lets hope the grader doesn’t think it was as good a performance as it was. I hope also that the she did enough to let Julie keep her in her kennels And off of the sofas. One more thought, we assume that because the pack demolish Peggy’s lead up the straight that she has practically stopped running yet in her 16 races at Crayford and in fact all her 26 races to date she has yet to finish sixth.

It suited the wides for sure, but she ran a cracker, her stamina was good and she ran the track very well indeed. I couldn't have been more impressed. I wonder if some of the reason for her problems recently have simply been that the track was running exactly the opposite, favouring the rails. Would be interested to hear what Julie (who is there every meeting) thinks.

Shaun
No need to feel bad about warning of the dangers of betting big on Peggy in Thursdays race as you know I value your opinion and to warn everybody like you did was in fact a brave thing to do but as I had a good win on her on Saturday I made my mind up then to back her until she lost irrespective of what the opposition was like mainly because I thought she would improve again. She did however clock a 3 metre slower time than when winning on Saturday after clocking practically the same sectional with the going stated as being normal, the same as on Saturday So I feel that the 3 metres slower time added to any improvement she may have made were probably lost because of the bias, any of us that backed her may therefore indeed be fortunate. Nevertheless we cannot overlook the fact that Peggy ran really well again and there is no reason why, providing the grader is fair with her and doesn’t deliberately outclass her, why she can’t complete the hat trick and is likely to be at a good price to do so. A couple of months ago I tried to make a case for Peggy to run in a sprint open at Sittingbourne I think she must deserve her chance in one there now

Another great run by Peggy. She is such a consistent trapper, and that early pace is really exciting. I think we can say she does run the track.

OI OI OI OI It's getting easier for Peggy the higher she goes up the grades. And the track must have been slow judging by her winning time. Crayford bitch of the month for January - QUESTHOUSE PEGGY

Well must say todays run was very impressive, was expecting a sectional in the 30's and an overall time of around 23-70,don't think i'll be far out when going is taken off.
Hope you were all on...
