I just missed seeing Peggy's race today but I had a token bet on her in view of no prior information. Does anybody know how she ran---------and it may seem a bit harsh------- but is anybody untested?

Peggy did not break so well today, she led out of the first bend then ran wide, got back to challenge going into the bend but ran wide again and lost all chance of winning eventually finishing fourth

I was waiting to see if there was any news about Peggy after her last race before I commented on it As the Racing Post had tipped her and Julie (who I rate ) had given her the thumbs up everything looked right for a return to wining ways but she was entitled to be favorite and I was going to have a fair bet on her I but halved it when she drifted in the betting. I think that Peggy is the most consistent of our greyhounds and although she didn't trap as well as she can I don't think she put it all in up to the bend and after crowding she just didn't want to know. I hope I am wrong but I don't think she is OK.

Derek Unfortunately you are correct,Julies just phoned me to say that it looks like Peggy has broken a toe, shes booked in for x-ray on tuesday and worse case scenario is she may need the toe removed,if so she'll be off for around 6 weeks. Just when you think things are getting better we get another blow like this.

The toe has not been removed as the vet felt there would'nt be enough support so its going to be around 12 weeks off,its the last thing we needed as we really need them earning their crust.

Bad news about Peggy Dave.
Just a thought, if she's going to be off 12 weeks can she come off her suppressant and get her season at the same time?? Would she go into season as soon as she stops taking the tablets???

I spoke to Julie about this and knowing our luck she'd be a couple of weeks off coming back and drop in season, whats been decided is that shes being taken off them for 1 month in the hope she drops in season,if not then she needs to be suppresed again as we can't afford to have her off for 5-6 months.

Iwas sure I put something on the forum about Peggy and joe well here goes I will try again. Peggy is to me the most genuine and consistent grevhound of the 4 we have she does her best every time she runs and the mere facvt that he hasnt won yet this time round is simply in my opnion down to her taking her time to reach her best. However anybody who watched her run her last race will agree that she is fast aproaching her first win but unfortunetly every body else will know this and you can bet she will be a short priced favopurite next time out and probably the RP Nap. The good news is that I can see her runing up a sequence of wins and each time she will probaby be a bigger price than she was in the previous one. I havent been right so often with my forecasting of races but here goes I think Peggy will show a profit backed to level stakes over her next 5 races.that may not be so good but will be better than we have been acheiving.

i backed her for a fair sum as she had a cracking draw outside the snail starter and on her previous run she didnt trap but ran very well in my opinion so was a good bet for me and at 9/2 was a right result well done Peggy now will she follow up like she can do ?? Peggy is a confidence runner in my opinion and now she has the win she could go in again n again
